How the recruiting practice works →

We price for what we control.

Most consultants and recruiters charge for outcomes they don't fully own. Closed deals depend on your product, your pricing, your negotiations. Candidate retention depends on the manager, the culture, the work itself. Promising those outcomes either traps the vendor in unwinnable commitments or makes the contract dishonest.

We charge for the work we actually do. In recruiting, that's a defined Interview Qualified Candidate produced to a scorecard we co-author with you at calibration. In GTM, that's the motion we build, or the closed revenue when we are the closer. The result is a relationship with no hidden incentives and no awkward conversations later.


Capacity is a feature, not a limitation.

We operate at a deliberate ceiling of 160 hours per person per month. That means we hold a small number of active engagements at any time and we say no often. It is the thing that lets us be fully present in each engagement, and it is part of why we cost what we cost.

Who we are

We've worked together before. For five years.

We are Pratik and Aparajita Gupta. Before The Align Works, we built and ran Terasol Technologies together: Pratik as co-founder and CEO, Aparajita as HR Business Partner. Terasol bootstrapped from a software team into a global digital transformation firm that delivered 250+ projects for brands including Compaq, Verizon, ChromeDM, and BillApp.

We sold revenue and we hired the people who did the work, side by side, for eight years. The Align Works is the consolidation of that operating history into a boutique offering for other founders.
